The face of business has significantly changed in recent years. It has become quicker, easier to travel, new modes of communication are being rapidly developed and refined. As a result of these changes, it is usual to find businesses with culturally diverse backgrounds. Training teams in an organisation to appreciate and embrace these differences can help differentiate a business and provide a competitive advantage. We will explore the challenges faced in today`s culturally blended teams and define the benefits that come from our current world, the issues that might surface and methods of handling conflict.   Who should attend ?   Anyone involved in managing cross-cultural teams, all cross-cultural teammates Facilitator:   Alistair McArthur Alistair`s ten years experience in China has enabled him to attain an understanding of the China business market and develop his Chinese language skills. Seminar - The Rebalancing of China, India, and ASEAN in the global supply chain and the Rise of the New Asian Consumer

Beijing
14 五月 2013
The Rebalancing of China, India, and ASEAN in the global supply chain and the Rise of the New Asian Consumer   Save the date: Tuesday, May 14th 2013 @ Hilton Beijing Hotel                  Goal: To discuss ASEAN as a new economic power in Asia that will influence our understanding of trade and business worldwide.   Agenda: 17:30-18:00 - Registration, Coffee & Tea 18:00-19:00 - Presentation 19:00-19:30 - Q&A Session 19:30-20:00 - Networking , Drinks & Canapés Briefing: The emergence of massive wealth and markets in Asia has lead to a new wealth of opportunities for international businesses. Both China and India are experiencing some of the highest GDP growth rates in the world, and the development of the ten ASEAN nations trade bloc, with its pan-Asian free trade agreements coming into effect in 2015 will once again change international trade flows. But where are the opportunities in the new Asia? Is China now the best option for setting up a manufacturing plant? Where are the new global consumers located and what can they buy? What does ASEAN bring to Asia`s competitive economic environment and how will these changes affect China, India and the Asian potential for trade with the United States, Europe and other key global markets? How to link up with ASEAN and India`s potential from China? Chris Devonshire-Ellis, the Founding Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates will engage these questions and come up with some definitive -and surprising– answers. Speaker: Chris Devonshire-Ellis   Title: Chairman, International Group, & Managing Partner, India & Singapore (Founder of Dezan Shira & Associates).   Chris founded Dezan Shira & Associates in Shenzhen in 1992, and is currently based in Singapore, continuing a 26-year career in Asia, including 20 years in mainland China.
