From November 16th to 24th, the 9th Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World took place worldwide. For this occasion, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce took part on an academic banquet hosted by the Italian Culinary Academy at the Italian restaurant OGGI Trattoria Pizzeria in Guangzhou on November 16th, focusing on the theme of traditional gastronomy.
Initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World is held annually showcasing the richness of Italian cuisine and its cultural significance. This year’s theme- Mediterranean Diet and Cuisine of the Origins: Health and Tradition - emphasized the Mediterranean diet as a model for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
From November 18 to 24, a series of engaging events highlighted the diversity of Italian culinary traditions. Guests enjoyed a specially curated menu inspired by the week’s theme, available at participating restaurants, which brought the flavors of Italy to life while celebrating the health benefits and sustainability of Mediterranean cuisine.
