The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is organizing, together with the Embassy of Italy to P.R.C. and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), the Italian Pavilion at World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo 2021 (WWSE 2021) to be held on September 3rd- 7th 2021 at Beijing Shougang Park.

The WWSE, held within the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), is a major event promoting the integrated development of international winter sports and cultural tourism along with science and technology and health industries with exhibitions and displays, industry forums and industry matchmaking opportunities. 

WHAT TO EXPECT?

ABOUT THE ITALIAN PAVILION

For the 2021 edition, Italy participates in the WWSE as “Country of Honor”.  The Italian Pavilion will gather Italian companies in the field of mountain tourism and lifestyle, and winter sports in a nearly 500 square feet Pavilion positioned at the core of the WWSE fair.

The Italian Pavilion will showcase the offer of goods and services related to the “Italian Mountain Lifestyle”, including F&B, Fashion and Apparel, automotive etc., in view of Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. During the Expo, the forum “Experiencing the Italian Mountain Lifestyle”, exclusively dedicated to the promotion of the Italian Mountain Lifestyle, will be held.  This will be occasion for the presentation of Milano-Cortina 2026 and the integrated offer of the Italian Tourism sector, industry matchmaking (on site and online), lifestyle, and F&B showcase.

In the field showcased during the WWSE, China looks at Italy as a world best practice; this special attention received represents an opportunity for Italian companies operating in the field of mountain tourism and lifestyle, and winter sports.

Following the special measures to support Italian companies for the Covid-19 emergency, participating companies will be offered a first exhibition module (12 square meters) free of charge. Additional exhibition space at a cost of € 135.00 + VAT per square meters.

ABOUT WWSE

World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo, jointly hosted by Beijing Olympic City Development Association and International Data Group, is a professional and authoritative international exposition focusing specifically on winter sports. It aims to introduce the knowledge of winter sports to Chinese and promote the project of “engaging 300 million people in the ice and snow” to popularize the winter sports activities in China. The World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo has been held annually since 2016 in Beijing, China. It is on its way to become the largest world-leading exposition of winter sports. As a professional and national-level exhibition, WWSE wins over support and cooperation from the International Olympics Committee (IOC) and federations of seven winter Olympic sports.
