is pleased to inform you that European Commission Vice-President Antonio Tajani now intends to visit China together with Environment Commissioner Potocnik. 

The "Mission for Growth" to China is planned for the 18-20 July 2013.

The main objectives of the mission are to promote the EU's "Green Industry" and to help European small and medium sized companies to operate in China. 

Focus of the mission will be on the following sectors:

• Air quality
• Water treatment
• Waste management
• Resource and energy management
• Environment friendly technologies

AGENDA

18 July – Beijing
• Briefing meeting on "Doing Business in China" (a.m.) and Roundtable on Green business opportunities (p.m.)
• Dedicated meeting for companies on "doing business in China" organised by the SME Centre, the IPR/SME Helpdesk and Enterprise Europe Network to be jointly opened by the VP Tajani and Commissioner Potocnik. 
• Roundtable on Green business opportunities in China. It aims to establish contacts between participating companies to the M4G and EU "green" companies already present on the Chinese market with Chinese high-level business or public actors on the potential og green economy in China.
• Reception at the EU Delegation with EU Member States Ambassadors

19 July - Beijing
• Matchmaking event (all day)
• Matchmaking event organised with the help of EEN Network and the SME Center.
• For companies that so wish: Departure to Guiyang, capital of the Guizhou province (p.m.) – 3 hours flight to southwest China

20 July – Guiyang
• "Eco-Forum Global"
• The forum puts the emphasis on green industry, green urbanization and green consumption. Numerous mayors from large       Chinese cities will be present allowing also for City-to-business contacts: http://www.efglobal.org/en/gyhy.aspx?Blist=82
