RECAP | Italian Family Cultural Day in Suzhou, 1 March

On March 3, 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) organized the Italian Family Cultural Day in Suzhou, featuring a visit to the exhibition “Horses: Symbols of Millenary Power from the Mediterranean to Jiangnan” at the Museum of Wu.

During the visit, participants discovered the horse’s historical and cultural significance as a steadfast companion in daily life and art. The exhibition featured artifacts from China and Italy, illustrating the deep connection between horses, power, and civilization from the Mediterranean to Jiangnan.

Across history, legends have honored the bond between heroes and their steeds, while artisans and artists have portrayed the horse as a symbol of strength, loyalty, and exploration.

This year also marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China, fostering deeper cultural and economic exchanges between the two countries.
