RECAP | Italian Business Community Tour to Jinshan, Nov 13th

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to share that on 13th November it was held the 2024 Italian Business Community Tour to Jinshan in Shanghai. This event came to life thanks to the collaboration with Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone. It saw the participation of more than 30 guests, coming from different industrial sectors.

 

This initiative allowed participants to get in touch with local companies and potential new business partners.

 

 

Connecting to 22 major cities at the center of the Yangtze River Delta Region, Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone is the advanced manufacturing base on the northern shore of the Hangzhou Bay. Established in 2003, the zone focuses on the manufacturing sector of Shanghai with commercial land of 41km2, industrial land area of 17 km2, of which 4 km2 remaining available for purchase and 610k sqm workshop is remaining available for lease or purchase. As the developer, maintainer and regulator of the 58km2 land of the High-tech Zone, Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd, with paid-in capital of RMB1.66B, provides efficient and practical government services to support the growth of their clients. The Zone is home to over 200 above-scale enterprises, of which about 100 are foreign companies, including Siements, ZEECO, Riello, Kraftheinz, etc.

 

Before knowing more about the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone, Emilio Cassanelli, CICC Board Member, introduced the CICC activities & service to the audience. He also emphasized the cooperation with Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone in the past and appreciated the warm invitation for this event. 

 

Afterwards, Mr. Huang Tao, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd, expressed his gratitude to the China Italy Chamber of Commerce for bringing more than 30 entrepreneurs to Jinshan this time, confirmed the close cooperation with CICC in recent years and looked forward to even deeper cooperation in the future. During the speech, he also introduced the favorable policies that Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone can bring to foreign investment, hoping that more enterprises can invest and settle in Jinshan.

 

 

Miao Hui, Project Manager of Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd, showed all the guests the physical module of the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone, giving them a better understanding of the location and the business opportunities that can arise between the Italian community and Jinshan.

 

 

Later, the guests visited Shanghai Everdisply Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. EDO was established in October 2012, focusing on the research and development, production, and sales of high-resolution AMOLED semiconductor display panels. The company is a high-tech enterprise, a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, a "science and technology reform demonstration enterprise" of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and a green factory demonstration unit. 

 

 

Then they took the company visit to Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., Mr.Gianpietro Belotti CEO of Santoni China gave a welcome speech and thanked all the guests for attending. He introduced the development and history of Santoni Group. Afterwards, the Santoni staff led all the guests to visit the workshop and lab room, showing the advanced mechanical technology of Santoni to all the guests.
