RECAP | Factory Tour at SACMI & Fosber with SACE Presentation

On October 23rd, 2024, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with the CICC Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), EU SME Centre, SACMI, FOSBER, and SACE, successfully hosted a factory tour and roundtable discussion in Foshan, Guangdong.

The day began with a factory tour at SACMI. Participants were greeted with welcome speeches by Luca Tamburini, General Manager of SACMI, and listened to detailed introductions to both companies. The factory tour offered an in-depth look at its advanced machinery and innovative practices.

Later, the group moved to FOSBER, where Jeff Chen, Vice General Manager, led the factory tour and introduced attendees to FOSBER's technologies.

Following the tour, the event proceeded to the second session—SACE presentation and roundtable discussion.

Firstly, Manager of CICC South China Romina Di Martino introduced the Chamber.

Then Vice President South China Vinicio Eminenti and Board member Alessandro Petrini delivered welcome greetings.

Jay Chen, Representative of China and East Asia for SACE gave an insightful presentation on SACE's role in supporting SMEs and manufacturing companies.

The roundtable discussion, moderated by Filippo Pallaroni from the EU SME Centre, focused on "Creating Value with Localized Supply Chains in Guangdong."

Key insights were shared by five speakers, who provided valuable perspectives on the benefits and challenges of localized supply chains in Guangdong.
