Post Event- Quality Council Supply Chain Group 2nd Meeting

Dear members and friends of CICC,

We are glad to inform you that the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) Shanghai Office has successfully held the second meeting of Quality Council's Supply Chain Group.

The second meeting was presided by Guilio Balossi, General Manager at Albachiara. Fifteen participants attended the meeting, among which, three connected online from China and Italy. Companies joint forced to analyze the current situation,development trend of whole market, the creation of platform, new collaboration relations and future commercial activities.

The meeting was opened with the brief self-introduction of every participant and their company. Then Mr. Balossi gave an overview of the Quality Council's activities.During the meeting, Mr. Balossi gave a presentation of the Survey Results of the industry's current situation and potential collaborations.  

At the end of the meeting, several comments and proposals were given by the participants:

• Collaboration with local university
• Digital platform, digital projects with local KOL, influencer
• Supports from CICC to newly established Italian brand in China market
• Common Gathering to maximize the value of “made in Italy” in China
• IP protection as a group of Italian companies
• Quality issues of fabric and yarns, EU standard v.s .China market regulation
• Logistic and transportation issue
• Collaboration with Chinese brands
• Create an agenda “carta di valori”, to present the Italian brands

We believe that with such valuable suggestions, more and more Italian upstream producers, trade companies, manufacturers of textile in China will be united in the future. We hope that the meeting will attract more and more groups to help construct the textile market between China and Italy and bring about creation of bigger platform and the prosperity of the textile trade between the two countries.
