Dear Members and Friends of CICC,
On April 20th 2017 the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) and ThinkIN China, organized the "Made in China 2025" conference, which was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton in Beijing. This get-together was the occasion for the Sino-European business communities to discuss and question themselves about their impressions and possible implications of MiC2025. The guest of honor of the event was President Romano Prodi, former Italian Prime Minister, former President of the European Commission, President of the Foundation for Worldwide cooperation.
The more than 80 guests were greeted by the opening speeches by the CICC Chairman Sergio Bertasi and the EUCCC Chairman Jöerg Wuttke.

The event then continued with the keynote speech by Romano Prodi.
It was then the turn of the presentation of Guido D. Giacconi, Co-founder and Chairman of In3Act, Board Members of CICC.
The themes and issues raised during the speeches were then deeply analyzed during the panel discussion among the four speakers, that was moderated by Matthias Niedenführ, co-director of ThinkIN China and professor at Tübingen University, executive director of the China Centre Tübingen. A lively Q&A session then followed, showing the great interest of the audience in the content of the conference.
After the end of the event, the guests had the chance to network and taste a selection of canapés served with sparkling wine.
The CICC would like to thank the EUCCC and ThinkIN China for their support for this event, as well as all the guests for their participation. Special thank go to our wine sponsor, Alan's Wine & Spirits.
