The Management Seminar was held in Chengdu on February 25th. The seminar, co-organized with the British Chamber of Commerce, the European Chamber of Commerce and the German Chamber of Commerce, South & Southwest, gave an overview of the Chinese regulations, taxation and for a global understanding of the Chinese system.
The seminar, named “Doing business in China” was supported by the law firm Roedl and Partner, whose representatives, Dr. Alexander Theusner, LLM in Hong Kong and Attorney at Law in German and Robert A. Seebeck, Tax Consulting & BPO, took the floor, explaining all the different parts in doing business in China.
The topics discussed in the seminare were:
- Overview of the Chinese company law;
- Manager liability in China;
- Protection of foreigner rights;
- Overview of the Chinese labour law;
- Overview of the Chinese accounting practices;
- Tax declaration and VAT invoices;
- Foreign currency control;
- Reform of the custom administration.
The seminar was a great opportunity for everyone who would like to do business in China, to be informed on what are the rules and regulations for foreign business in China.
