On July 3rd, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) hosted the event “Talk over Lunch: In Conversation with Marco Midolo and Ginevra Oliva” at George’s Restaurant, Hotel Éclat Beijing.
The conversation provided attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with two key figures who have significantly contributed to fostering strong commercial, cultural, and educational ties between the two countries: Marco Midolo, First Counsellor and Head of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C., and Ginevra Oliva, First Counsellor and Head of Cultural, Education and Scientific Affairs at the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C.
The dialogue touched upon various aspects of Italy’s institutional presence in China, with Midolo offering insights into the economic and commercial exchanges, while Oliva highlighted the cultural and educational initiatives that have flourished over the years. Their reflections on the challenges and successes of their diplomatic work underscored the deepening bonds between Italy and China.
CICC extends its gratitude to both Marco and Ginevra for their dedication and commitment over the years and wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.
A special thanks is extended to George’s Restaurant, Hotel Eclat for hosting the event and 100 ITA for sponsoring the wines.
