During the meeting, CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Italy, particularly in light of significant milestones such as the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's passing. Discussions centered on strengthening trade relations between Italian and Chinese businesses, exploring new business opportunities, and identifying ways to facilitate Italian enterprises' operations in China.
Secretary General Fan Xianwei introduced the Italian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, outlining its recent activities and providing an overview of Italy's business environment. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy, formerly known as the Italian Association of Chinese Enterprises, was established in 2008. In April 2021, it was officially renamed the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy (Italian: Camera di Commercio Cinese in Italia), with its headquarters in Milan. It is the only Chinese Enterprise Association approved by both the Chinese and Italian governments.
Currently, the CCCIT has over 100 member organizations, spanning diverse sectors including finance, telecommunications, technology manufacturing, automotive, new energy, transportation and logistics, trade, and commercial services. The Chamber comprises nine Chairman Committee units, 21 Director units, and an Audit Committee.
