On April 26, 2025, in Suzhou, Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Chairman, met with Suzhou Mayor Wu Qingwen, together with representatives of foreign chambers of commerce. The meeting provided a platform to exchange views on global trade trends and new cooperation opportunities.
During the luncheon, Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi emphasized the strong ties between Italian businesses and Suzhou, and the importance of deepening collaboration in a changing trade landscape. Discussions also highlighted Suzhou’s position as a key hub for foreign investment and innovation.
CICC then participated in the Suzhou Global Investment Conference, attended by Jiangsu Governor Xu Kunlin and Suzhou Party Secretary Liu Xiaotao, underscoring the strategic importance of Suzhou and Jiangsu Province for international investors.
Representing CICC were Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, President of CICC, Board Members Mr. Lorenzo Bali and Mr. Davide Angelibusi, and Manager Ms. Elisa Qiu. Their presence reflected CICC’s commitment to supporting Italian companies in China and fostering strong local partnerships.
As China’s third-largest industrial city with a GDP of USD 370 billion, Suzhou offers Italian companies a prime base for manufacturing, innovation, and access to the Yangtze River Delta. It hosts the largest concentration of Italian industrial investments outside Europe.
CICC remains committed to strengthening ties with Suzhou and creating new opportunities for growth.
