01 八月 2025

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) acted as the supporting partner for the planning and the organization of both business oriented and cultural activities for 15 students of the China School Program delegation organized by the Graduate School of Management of Politecnico di Milano and the Research Center on Contemporary China (CSCC) in Beijing and Shanghai from July 21 to July 25. This year’s program focuses on China’s high-tech transformation and its impact on global governance and industrial policy.

Below is a brief recap of the itinerary and the most highlighted moments:

BEIJING

Visit to Huawei

On July 21, the CICC and the China School Program delegation visited Huawei in Beijing, where participants were introduced to the company’s latest technological advancements and innovation strategies. The visit provided students with insights into Huawei’s role in shaping China’s digital infrastructure and global presence in information and communications technology. Huawei representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s strategic vision, emphasizing its pivotal role in the construction of China’s digital ecosystem and its expanding footprint in global technology markets.

Lecture by Professor Rui Zhang of Peking University

In the afternoon, the delegation attended a lecture hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, delivered by Professor Rui Zhang of Peking University. Professor Zhang delivered an insightful lecture on the trajectory of technological development in China’s recent history addressing key themes such as the global geopolitical landscape, commercial interdependence, and offering valuable context for understanding China’s evolving role on the world stage.

SHANGHAI

On the morning of July 23, the CICC and China School Program visited Red Note Shanghai HQ Office. The company's mission is to share and discover the wonders of the world through Inspire Lives, and to build a user community through graphics, short videos, live broadcasts, and other forms, forming a unique "grass planting economy" model. During the visit, Mr. Jingbo Li, Head of Design Division, welcomed Mr. Michelangelo Cocco, head of China School Program and other members of the delegation.

The Xiao Hong Shu design team shared their design experience and individual cases, and the students from China School raised relevant questions with great interest. Both parties had in-depth discussions and exchanges.

On July 25, Comau hosted 15 students from the China School program at its APAC Innovation Center in Shanghai. Aligned with its commitment to international exchange and corporate responsibility, Comau designed the session to provide an overview of how global companies operate in China’s evolving business landscape. With its Italian roots and strong local presence, Comau is a prime example of cross-border collaboration, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth.

“We’re grateful for the chance to visit Comau. It was great for me to see how a leader in automation is shaping the industry’s future. This visit provided valuable real-world insights and gave us a clearer sense of what the future holds.” said Esther Connor, one of the students from Nebrija University.

“At Comau, we’re committed to innovation in automation, and it’s rewarding to see students engaging with technology that’s transforming industries. We hope this visit sparked curiosity about how technology shapes the future,” added Andrea Messini, APAC Head of Project Delivery and Quality.

By opening its doors to multidisciplinary academic initiatives like The China School, CICC continues to strengthen the bridge between Italy and China — not only through technology, but through education, dialogue, and shared vision.
