China-Italy Business Cooperation Dialogue Held in Beijing

On July 22nd, 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with the China Economic Cooperation Center (CECC) and the Fengtai District People’s Government, organized the China-Italy Business Cooperation Dialogue in Beijing.

The event took place in the framework of the broader China-Italy Political Dialogue, led by H.E. Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Mr. Vinicio Peluffo, President of the Italy-China Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The business cooperation dialogue brought together high-level local government representatives, industry leaders, and members of the Italian business community in China. Among the participants were representatives of the CICC Working Groups and key players from energy, manufacturing, lifestyle and the aviation sectors.

Opening remarks were delivered by Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, Ke Zhizhong, President of the China Economic Cooperation Center, Zhao Chunli, Vice Mayor of the Fengtai District People’s Government, Gianni Di Giovanni, Chairman of ENI China and Vice President of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and Federico Roberto Antonelli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.

Following, a session of business exchange and matchmaking took place between Italian and local companies. This segment was facilitated by key representatives from CICC Working Groups and local chapters. This first session served as a preparatory step towards organizing a broader business matchmaking initiative, aimed at fostering deeper connections between members of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and local enterprises in the Fengtai District.

The China-Italy Business Cooperation Dialogue marked a new step in fostering pragmatic and high-level partnerships between Italian enterprises and local Chinese governments, with the shared objective of promoting industrial integration, innovation, and sustainable growth.
