The Fifth European Union Film Festival Brings European Cinema to Life for Chinese Audiences
The magic of European cinema returns to China for its fifth year, as the 2012 European Union Film Festival (EUFF) unspools in four Chinese cities starting on 1st November, 6 pm with theLaunch CeremonyatMega Box at Sanlitun Village in Beijing.
Featuring 26 films from all over Europe, along with a selection of short films, the EUFF, presented by the Delegation of the European Union to China in partnership with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, returns to Beijing, Chengdu and Shenzhen, and is joined this year by a fourth host city, Tianjin.
This year’s stellar film line-up, to be screened at commercial venues, cultural institutes and university campuses includes: Austria, Michael; Belgium, Turquaze; Bulgaria, Something More About Love; Cyprus, Fish & Chips; Denmark, In a Better World; Czech Republic, Empties; Estonia, The Graveyard Keeper’s Daughter; Finland, Letters to Father Jacob; France, Tous Les Soleils; Germany, Lessons of a Dream; Greece, Hard Goodbyes: My Father; Hungary, Nine and a Half Dates; Ireland, The Runway; Luxembourg, Quartier Lointain; Italy, Kryptonite!; Lithuania, The Bug Trainer; Malta, The Phoenicians; The Netherlands, Sonny Boy; Poland, Essential Killing; Slovakia, Love; Spain, Black Bread; Sweden, Simon and the Oaks; and the United Kingdom, Anonymous.
