Simple misunderstandings over the importance of deadlines and relationship building, or a perceived aggressiveness in communicating or different expectations about the importance of expressing ideas and opinions during meetings can affect the effectiveness of daily business life; these behaviors are rooted in the core values of our different societies. Developing and understanding these core values through cross cultural training helps to detect problems before they grow into work conflicts. This program trains people to use categories to understand cultural differences, read situations with others’ “cultural pair of glasses” and be aware of potential areas of misunderstanding.
