The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with its Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG), is pleased to announce the seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence: Between Law and Intellectual Property”. The event will be held on 12th March 2025 from 3:30pm (China Time) at Intesa Sanpaolo Office (56/F, Shanghai Tower, 501 Yincheng Zhong Lu, Pudong District 银城中路501号56楼), in Shanghai.
Why participate?
In recent weeks, news of a Chinese company developing and launching an AI large language model comparable to the most advanced American models has taken the world by storm.
It comes as no surprise, then, that China has been actively working on establishing a comprehensive legal framework to regulate artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on areas such as intellectual property (IP) rights, ethical standards, and technological innovation.
This seminar will address the legal challenges and concerns within the realm of artificial intelligence, with a special focus on the Chinese context.

The IPWG is a business group established within the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, gathering members from a wealth of inter-connected industries across fashion, luxury, F&B, consumer goods, engineering, R&D, university, legal & IP services.
IPWG participants are CICC members willing to join discussions about: IP law & policy, IP protection & enforcement, IP commercialization, science & technology, tech-transfer, R&D, from an academic, industry or consulting position. Cross-IP experts are welcomed, from branding& advertising, finance, banking, privacy, among others.
