The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to invite you to the seminar "Cross-border Ecommerce, Customs Aspects" held by Marco Mamone, Customs Attaché of the Embassy of Italy in Beijing.
The event will take place at the Italian Institute of Culture (Address: San Li Tun, Dong Er Jie 2 - 三里屯东二街2 号) on Wednesday, January 20th, from 1.30 to 3.30 p.m..
Introduction:
The growth of Ecommerce on Chinese market determined new opportunities for business as well as new challenges for the Chinese customs authorities in managing the increased flow of goods that Chinese purchase abroad.
Customs administration is one of the main stakeholders in the process for the importation of goods. Particularly for Ecommerce, the customs clearance of goods is one of the main factors affecting the timing of their delivery to the final consumers.
Accordingly, last year the Chinese authorities issued some regulations, which along the already existing law provisions, set the framework for the trade of foreign goods purchased by Chinese on web sites.
The review of the measures adopted will highlight the approach by customs to the issues and will provide some useful information for the relevant business in China.
The seminar will be also an opportunity to bring to the attention of the Italian Embassy the major difficulties encountered by Italian economic operators with China Customs Administration.
Objective:
The seminar will highlight the main legal provisions and procedures applicable to cross border Ecommerce, with particular reference to the sales B2C and the major initiatives by the Chinese authorities in order to facilitate and speed up the procedures for the clearance of goods.
Outcome:
After attending this seminar you will have a more solid understanding about limitations and opportunities linked to customs legislation and procedures.
