The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to the China Outlook 2025: Members' Meeting and Networking in North China scheduled for Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, from 17:00 (Beijing time) at the Capital Club, Beijing.
For the occasion, we invited Alfredo Montufar-Helu, Head of the China Centre at the Conference Board, to provide a 2025 outlook with strategic insights for our members on fundamental changes in China's competitive landscape resulting from economic, market, policy, and geopolitical dynamics, and their implications for companies.
The meeting will also be the occasion to present the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce actions and activity plan for North China and network with other members and friends during the networking aperitif session.

About the speaker
Alfredo Montufar-Helu
Alfredo Montufar-Helu works for The Conference Board as the Head of the China Center. He oversees the work done by the China Center to support C-level executives on the ground in Greater China and elsewhere through customized briefings, and by providing a platform where they can interact with peers; access market-leading insights; and build meaningful relationships.
Based in China since 2013, Alfredo has focused on analysing the business implications of policy, economic and political developments for companies investing and operating in China, and in the broader Asian region. This with the aim of distilling complex issues and conveying clear takeaways on how to capture business opportunities and respond to emerging challenges.
Before joining The Conference Board, Alfredo was the Beijing Director of The Economist Intelligence Corporate Network, which is the C-suite briefing and networking arm of The Economist Group. Prior to that, he was Associate Director at KPMG’s Global China Practice, where he led and contributed to numerous thought leadership projects, including flagship reports, customised business briefings, and policy proposals for Chinese authorities. He also played a large role in events programming and outreach, including leading the design and coordination of high-profile events aimed at senior executives. Before that, Alfredo worked for J Capital Research, Eurasia Group and the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Alfredo has a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) from Georgetown University, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Mexico’s Center of Research and Teaching in Economics (aka. CIDE). He is fluent in English and Spanish, proficient in French and Chinese and has a good working comprehension of Portuguese.
