Soil Remediation: China-Italy Experience Sharing, Nov 21

China
21 Novembre 2022
The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its Energy and Environment Protection Working Group (EEPWG) in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C. is glad to invite you to our upcoming online seminar “Soil Remediation: China-Italy Experience Sharing” on Monday, November 21st at 4:00 pm (Beijing Time).    TOPIC OVERVIEW In recent years, China and Italy have been addressing the issue of the remediation of contaminated sites. In China, major cities are facing soil contamination problems related to industrial parks. In recent years, those parks are progressively delocalized with more sustainable technologies.  Italy is encountering the same problems.  After WW2, the strong industrialization process led to the establishment of large parks in the chemistry, oil, and iron industry, causing historical soil contamination in the major cities. In this scenario, is it possible to find common ground for new cooperation between China and Italy at the technical, business, and scientific levels?   The webinar aims to present the best practices developed by Chinese and Italian companies in the census, securing, and remediation of contaminated sites with specific reference to solutions for industrial parks. During the three sessions, our speakers will focus on the approach to soil and groundwater remediation and introduce case studies about the environmental restoration of contaminated Industrial Parks, with related techniques and technologies and their impact on economic development.   AGENDA (Beijing Time) 16:00- 16:10 Welcome Remarks Paolo Bazzoni, Chairman, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) Matteo Tanteri, Vice-President Beijing, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Alessandra Guidi, Scientific Attaché, Embassy of Italy to the P.R.C. 16:10 – 16:15 Introduction Simone Padoan, Vice Coordinator, CICC EEPWG and Secretary General, EE-GEX Session 1: Case studies of environmental restoration of Industrial parks and matching points for technical and business cooperation 16:15-16:30 Francesco Misuraca, Head of Environmental Technical & Site Activities, ENI Rewind 16:30-16:45 Representative of Shanghai Chengtou Environment Ecological Remediation Technology Co., Ltd.
