The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) organized, together with its Young Professionals Network and in partnership with the School of Foreign Studies of the Nankai University, the webinar “Understanding Chinese Business Etiquette: Practical Tips for Professional Success”.
The webinar was hosted by Felice Ferrari, Vice-Coordinator of the CICC Young Professionals Network, who introduced the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce as well as the Young Professionals Network and its activities.
The seminar was divided in two parts: Introduction to Chinese culture: values, traditions, and beliefs and Corporate Etiquette in China and Experience Sharing.
In the first part, Su Jianhua, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at Federal University of Ceará, Brazil and Associate Professor of Nankai University, explained the way different cultures impact societies, and in particular how Chinese culture elements influence the business environment.
During the second part of the webinar, Haijing Wang, Founder and Managing Director at Panda Consulting, and Flavia Cusaro, Consultant for Innovation Startups and SMEs, explored from two different points of view the unwritten rules of the Chinese etiquette, and shared their personal experience and practical tips to help the audience better understand the unwritten rules of the Chinese business world.

The “China-Italy Young Professionals Network (中Y意)“ is a group – within the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) – that represents young professionals and students from different nationalities (up to 30 years old).
