On Thursday, December 4th 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) successfully supported and hosted the seminar “Experience Italian Excellence in Cruise Shipbuilding”, an event promoted by CICC Member Company RINA, at Marintec China 2025, one of Asia’s leading maritime exhibitions, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The session offered participants valuable insights into Italy’s advanced capabilities in cruise ship design, technology, and innovation.
Highlights of the event included:
Participation of Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Chairman, accompanied by Antonella Fontanarosa, CICC General Manager, in Marintec’s official VIP Tour (held on december 2nd), including a visit to the booth of Member Company RINA.
Expert presentations on Italian excellence in cruise ship engineering, sustainability, and innovation delivered by industry leaders, including Lou Luobing, Greater China Commercial Director, RINA; Joonatan Haukilehto, Head of New Technologies, Foreship; Matteo Murru, CEO, API SpA; and Kevin Cao, Cruise & Hospitality Segment Sales Director, Technogym.
Insights into new technologies shaping the future of cruise shipbuilding, with a focus on wellness design and onboard experience solutions, moderated by Mattia Marino, CICC Board Member.
The seminar gathered industry professionals and representatives from Italy, Europe, and China, welcoming around 30 attendees.
