CICC joins Assocamerestero Area Meeting in Singapore, 21-22 Feb

On February 21-22, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) participated in the Area Meeting of Assocamerestero with the Italian Chambers of Commerce in Asia, Oceania, Southern Africa and Oceania, held in Singapore.

CICC was represented by Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman, Fabrizio Costa, Secretary General, and Antonella Fontanarosa, General Manager.

The meeting served as an important platform to discuss the current geoeconomic and geopolitical landscape, assess challenges and opportunities, and foster valuable exchanges of insights and ideas.

Maria Tripodi, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, delivered a keynote speech via video link to promote the economic relations with the region. Distinguished guests included H.E. Dante Brandi, the Italian Ambassador to Singapore, Hon. Nicola Carè, Member of the Italian Parliament, Mario Pozza, President of Assocamerestero, Domenico Mauriello, Secretary General, and other representatives from Italian Chambers of Commerce across the region.

The event also provided an opportunity to explore the growing prospects Singapore offers. The delegation visited PSA Singapore, a global leader in port operations, and Silicon Box, an advanced semiconductor integration service provider. Silicon Box, which has chosen Italy as an investment destination, plans to build a €3.2 billion chip factory in Novara.
