CICC Joins the Inauguration of the Italian Innovation Center, SH

On January 13, 2025, in Shanghai, Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), and Wei Chen, CICC Public Affairs Manager, attended the inauguration of the Italian Innovation Center and witnessed the signing of the friendship collaboration agreement between Rome’s District I and Shanghai’s Yangpu District. This collaboration symbolizes the strength of Italy-China bilateral relations, bringing together Italy’s political capital and China’s business capital.
Distinguished guests included Lorenza Bonaccorsi, President of the Municipality of Rome I, former Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Italy and Dong Yiwen, Member of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipality, and the Chinese Communist Party Secretary of Yangpu District. Together, they celebrated the establishment of the Innovation Center as a vital platform for promoting economic, technological, and cultural exchanges.
The CICC continues to promote Italy-China economic relations, supporting cross-border commercial and industrial projects.

Shanghai, China’s largest economic hub, is known for its iconic skyline and dynamic industries. Yangpu District, a key area within Shanghai, is emerging as a center for innovation and technology, hosting prestigious universities and fostering innovation-driven development.
