Relocation Ceremony of Generali Shanghai Branch

On June 18, 2024, Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Mattia Marino, CICC Board Member, attended the office relocation ceremony of the Generali China Insurance Shanghai Branch.

Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi gave an enthusiastic opening address. He emphasized that Generali China Insurance has always been an important member of the Chamber that just won the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Award in the 2024 Panda D’Oro, a significant recognition of Generali China Insurance’s achievement in ESG.

Mr. Mattia Marino highlighted the accomplishments of Assicurazioni Generali who is Italy's largest and one of the world's leading insurance and financial service groups.  

As recently approved by the regulator, Generali China Insurance will change its shareholding structure to become a wholly owned subsidiary of Generali and the only Italian property insurer in China, illustrating Generali's strong confidence in and long-term commitment to the Chinese market.

CICC holds confidence that this positive development will deepen Sino-Italian economic exchanges, leading to more mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.
