Post Event - The 1st Edition of Wuxi Business Forum - 26th of March 2019

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to inform you that the First Edition of Wuxi Business Forum was successfully held on March 26th at Worldhotel Grand Juna in Wuxi.

The event was opened with a welcome greetings by Ms. Ludovica Murazzani, Commercial Consul of Italy in Shanghai, then Mr. Valtero Canepa, CICC Vice-Chairman in Shanghai, explained the importance of Wuxi in the Sino-Italian bilateral relations and mentioned that it represents the best place to discuss and develop connections between the Chinese and Italian Communities.

Mr. Xu Guowei, Vice President of Wuxi Municipal People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, delivered additional insights of history and development of Italian enterprises in China, especially in Wuxi. Then, he remarked the importance, in this historical moment, of the Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit in Italy and of the "Belt and Road Initiative" as opportunity to enhance the bilateral relations between the two Countries.

After the speeches, Ms. Emanuela Vizzarro, CICC Shanghai & Suzhou Office Manager, opened remarks about Italian companies that were attending the event.

After a profiling and long work of matching with the support of Wuxi Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, 22 Italian companies, two Sponsors, JD-LINK and Plainvim International (Wuxi) Industrial Park and more than 40 Chinese enterprises participated to the Business Forum.

About 100 guests attended the event, which was then followed by a B2B Meetings and networking lunch.

After that, a bus tour was organized for a delegation of Italian Companies to visit the Industrial Park and the two Italian companies located there: Eurocoating Medical Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd and GITIS (Wuxi) Sealing Technology.
