Meeting with CISP Alumni, 7th-9th April, 2011, Foshan

Dear Members,

China-Italy Chamber of Commerce has the pleasure to share with you the success of the “Guangdong Special Town Transformation and Upgrading Training and High-level Innovation” Conference held in Foshan on April 7th, 2011. The event, organized by CICC, the Italian Consulate in Guangzhou, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the International School of Policy of the University of Ferrara, was attended by more than 300 people including Chinese CISP ex alumni, government officers, local authorities and mass media representatives.

The representatives of a group of famous Italian companies in Foshan, as Bottero, Sacmi and Piaggio took part to the event and with the mediation of CICC Vice President, Mr. Marco Bettin, explained their own experiences in the Chinese market and gave the opportunity to the participants to visit their factories. During his speech, the Consul General of Italy, Mr. Paolo Miraglia del Giudice, stressed the importance of this meeting to further develop the cooperation between Italy and Guangdong province involving small & middle enterprises and industrial clusters.

Following the success of this year’s event, the organizers are already planning to organize a new edition for next year, confident that it will provide useful and strategic opportunities for many Chinese companies to interact with foreign companies, especially with the Italian ones.
