The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is delighted to draw to your attention the Beijing Design Week 2015 which will be held from September 23rd to October 7th.
Launched with a pilot effort in 2009, Beijing Design Week (BJDW) is co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, to nurture a culture of design in the Chinese context. With seven key sections – Opening Ceremony, Design HOP, Guest City, Design Awards/Design Market/Design Talent, Smart City - BJDW features hundreds of international exhibitions, public events and trading platforms as the leading design event in the PRC. While offering an expansive overview of China's transforming design landscape, it serves as a laboratory for innovative perspectives that, from industry to academia, inspire and shape contemporary design discourse and practice.
Coming to its 5th edition, BJDW 2015 keeps on broadening its territorial and conceptual expanse, further addressing the contextual challenges of nurturing and developing specific tools, products, skill-sets and research environments that meet the needs of contemporary China, as a test-bed for long-lasting visions that can produce far-reaching impacts on global scenarios.
2015 DESIGN HOP areas include: Dashilar, Baitasi, Indigo, Parkview Green, Dongcheng District Hub, 751 & 798 Art and Design District, Beijing Institute of Fashion and Technology Park, China Millennium Monument, Gehua Tower.
