Dear Members and Friends,
On 10 April 2024, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) together with its Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), visited the Shanghai production plant of its member Shanghai Camozzi Automation Control Co., Ltd. (SCAC), gathering over 40 attendees.
The morning started with institutional greetings by Emilio Cassanelli, CICC Board Member & VP China Operations, General Manager of Italgroup Hydraulic Motors (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd, and a welcome speech by Marco Camozzi, Managing Director of Camozzi Automation SPA and Ee Sian Lee, the President of Shanghai Camozzi.
Yining Xie, the General Manager of Shanghai Camozzi, introduced SCAC and its activities. Camozzi Automation entered China in 1993. Shanghai Camozzi, a subsidiary of Camozzi Group, focuses on motion and control components and integrated solutions for Industry Automation, Transportation and Life Science industries.
Today, Shanghai Camozzi has a covered area of 10,000 m2,150 employees and 15 sales offices with product and customization development functions, local supply chain, assembly and production, and an ISO 9001/14001 management system.
Moreover, Camozzi Group is also a strategic partner of the Sauber Group in F1™ sports car racing. After learning more about the company, it was time to visit the factory, with a tour led by Mr. Yining Xie.
In the afternoon, the participants, together with representatives of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai and Italian Trade Agency, had the opportunity to meet the driver of Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber, Mr. Zhou Guanyu, at the SCAC.

The MEWG represents the interest of all Italian companies in China working directly or indirectly in the sector on a national base.
MEWG Objectives:
Coordinate and promote all Italian members’ needs which are active in many different industries of the Chinese mechanical engineering sector (machinery, automotive, component manufacturers, mechanical engineering...); Promote and raise awareness of the size and the importance of Italian technology in the sector to all counterparts in China and Italy, in order to develop business opportunities. Coordinate and promote activities and events that boost the visibility and the image of “Technology Made in Italy”. Become a reference for all mechanical engineering companies within the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
