The International Women’s Day Business Luncheon was held on March 9th at Emerald Sea restaurant of the Intercontinental Hotel Chongqing
The lunch was organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, the British Chamber of Commerce and the China – Britain Business Council and many strong female personalities from the business world in Chongqing attended.
The lunch was opened by the Welcome speech of the General Manager of the Intercontinental Hotel and master of ceremonies Sharon Fraser, who greeted the Chambers for setting up the event and remembered that the International Women’s Day is not only a day where we should celebrate women, but also a day in which we should keep the focus of the celebration on respect, appreciation, and love towards women for their economic, political, and social achievements.
After the welcome speech, Tina Redshaw, Consul-General of the Consulate General of the UK, took the floor, sharing her working and personal experience as a woman in China, pointing out all the problems she had to face.
