Invitation to DUSA Seminar “Expanding your Business in China", Suzhou, Kempinski Hotel, 27th October, 2011

               

 

In the past 15 years, Suzhou great area had faced dynamic change with its significantly improving of economic, and investment in this area. Now Suzhou is also facing following bottlenecks for SME‘s to further expanding their business:
• Limited land and facility supplying
• Government change of promotion strategy to focus mainly on Service, R&D and Headquarter
• Operators salary increase 15%-20% YoY basis; Overall living and operation cost upsurge
• Power shortage and cut off
• Old tax incentives face expiration, no tax incentives for new SMEs
Some of our members are looking for new opportunities outside of Suzhou area for their new expansion projects. This seminar is prepared in order to give help to those members who are looking for new expansion area or will think about for near future.
At the seminar our members will also have the opportunity to meet some different Industrial Park Investment Promotion Bureau Representatives to provide more detailed information.
Guest Speaker 1: Mr. Fabian Knopf, Business Development Associate of Dezan Shira& Asociates.
Mr. Knopf advises clients in the Yangtze River Delta with a special focus on Suzhou in matters of foreign investment particularly legal and tax structures as well as accounting in China. He administers the German publication and website of China Briefing and regularly contributes, also to the English-language publication.
Fabian received his Bachelor education in International Business Management with HFU Business School in Germany and Northwest University in Xi’an, China.

Guest Speaker 2: Mr. Wei Qian – Managing Director of New Tigers Technology (SIP) Ltd. for Asia and North America
Mr. Qian is degree in International Economics in 1999 at University of Limerick, master degree in Business Studies and prized by Sir Charles Harvey at the Irish Management.
He is also currently consultant to the regional Government of Suzhou in Jiangsu province and member of different organizations as Ireland-China Association, European Chamber of Commerce (China Chapter), Irish Business Forum (Shanghai), Chinese Professional Association of Canada, and Association of Software Industry of China.

Guest Speaker 3: Ms. Cynthia Fu- General Manager of Joy Consulting Services Co. Ltd.
Ms. Cynthia Fu, manages a full-service team both from native and overseas encompassing foreign investment projects & relocation services, Research and negotiate Multinational company`s contracts based on costs and point-to-point destination procedures resulting . Remotely oversee each business unit and report to Operation & Executive management of every customer in the Yangtze River Delta.
Cynthia received her Bachelor education in English major with Beijing Normal University,and P-MBA in Marketing management in Shanghai LLL Business School, as well as AIP management in Shanghai Action Success management School. Now she is even participating at Fudan International MBA Program, and will be awarded MBA degree from Fudan University and a learning certificate from MIT Sloan School of management.
