Italian Hospitality Seal - Italian restaurants in the world

Beijing
21 Agosto 2013
Dear Members, dear Friends,   The China Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to involve you into the project “Italian Hospitality Seal” - Italian Restaurants in the World, a certification of quality promoted by Unioncamere, with the support of the National Institute for Tourism Research (IS.NA.R.T.) and in collaboration with 5 Ministries.   The aim of Italian Hospitality Seal is to preserve the quality of Italian cuisine that is the result of a centuries-old historical process of Italian society and has always been playing a significant role in human civilization. For an innate inclination to the attention of the Italians to human relationships and the quality of life, the culture of the table has become in the course of time the symbol of hospitality and welcome, the food has taken on a value like art and music. For these reasons, the Italian food should be considered a contribution to the heritage of humanity and should be defended and protected from adulteration and falsification to preserve its history, culture, quality and authenticity.   The Objectives of the Project are:   • Promote and increase the value of Italian food culture; • Promote and increase the value of those Italian Restaurants Abroad which guarantee the respect for the Italian Hospitality Seal Standards; • Create a network with the potential to promote the best of the Italian culinary heritage around the world.   Among the various parameters considered during the phase of evaluation, the Coordinating Committee has defined 5 key requirements - KO requirements – that must be met in order to facilitate the release of the certification, which is assigned after evaluation of the National Committee with headquarters in Rome.   1. Proposed Food / Menu’ 2. Welcoming of the Clientele 3. Wine List 4. Extra Virgin Olive Oil 5. Experience and expertise of the chef   Those Italian restaurants abroad certified as eligible to obtain this mark will receive an Italian Hospitality Mark Certificate and will benefit from a series of promotional activities on media, TV, mass and web media, social networks etc, which will enhance their visibility in Italy and the world.   During 2012, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce has identified 26 genuine Italian restaurants in China, which were celebrated during an awarding ceremony on the Bund, gathering more than 200 guests. Will you satisfy the 5 key requirements and be interested in running for the Seal, please fill in the application form and sand it back to ospitalita.italiana@cameraitacina.com.   Without any additional cost from your side, CICC platform and the Italian Hospitality Seal network will boost your business!   Best wishes   CICC Shanghai Office

Leadership Code for a Knowledge-based China

Shanghai
28 Agosto 2013
Organizer: Supporting Organizzations:        What are leaders in business in China best at from the point of view of their people? Where do they most need to improve if they are to truly engage hearts as well as minds of their people?    These questions take on more and more significance as China shifts to more knowledge-based work – the sort of work in which personal engagement drives discretionary energy which drives creativity, innovation and results.   To this end, the Corporate Research and Curriculum Development Officer Kate Sweetman of Malaysia International Financial Leadership Training Centre (ICLIF) will bring you a speech of "Leadship Code for a Knowledge-based China" on August 28th 2013.   This talk entertainingly converges two streams of research that have been conducted over the last seven years: one that articulates and organizes what all great leaders know and do no matter where they are in the world, no matter what the endeavour; and the other that specifically focuses on what business leaders in China know and do today (in both Chinese based enterprises and in MNCs operating in China), and how they can get more from their people.   The speaker: Kate Sweetman Kate Sweetman is the Director and Head of Research and Curriculum for Iclif, and co-author (with Dave Ulrich) of The Leadership Code: Five Rules to Lead By (Harvard Business Press, 2009).   Kate is also a former editor at Harvard Business Review and has been designated an Emerging Guru by the London Times. She blogs for Harvard Business Press, has contributed articles and op-eds to various publications, including Sloan Management Review, the Economic Times (of India) and The Edge. She has been interviewed on the topic of leadership on CNBC in the US and in India.   She has consulted on leadership issues with global organisations for 20 years, including among many others Goldman Sachs, British Petroleum, the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Citigroup, Novartis, DHL.   She has spoken on issues of leadership, talent management and diversity in North American, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Kate is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Business School, and has lectured at both Harvard Business School and MIT’s Legatum Center (a graduate-level programme for entrepreneurs in the developing world).   About ICLIF: The Iclif Leadership & Governance Centre is an international, Asia-focused centre of excellence committed to delivering practical and relevant solutions-based leadership and corporate governance programmes.   Established as a non-profit organisation, under the auspices of the Central Bank of Malaysia, Iclif continues to provide leadership development and corporate governance programmes for the financial industry and corporations in the region and beyond. Iclif’s mission is to develop a new generation of world-class leaders who are able to effectively manage their organisations in a more challenging and rapidly changing environment.   Rather than ‘teaching’ leadership, the curriculum is designed to accelerate the self-discovery process and to provide tangible and usable ideas on how to create the required frameworks and conditions. The success of these programmes is based on the application of locally relevant research undertaken by our world class faculty members.   Its faculty brings together extensive experience and knowledge of leadership and corporate governance from the best global academic and commercial institutions to Asia. Their products and services inspire leaders and equip boards to immediately and visibly improve their organisation’s performance.   For more information, please click this link => www.iclif.org    If you are interested in the event above, please send an e-mail to infoshanghai@cameraitacina.com.   Best wishes   CICC Shanghai
