In this presentation, Kylie Kwok, a senior manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers, will outline how a bankruptcy petition is initiated under this new law, discuss the major provisions and share with us some issues and problems which may arise during implementation.Sara Marchetta, which is a senior associate of Chiomenti Studio Legale in Beijing, will move to the delicate and important matter of FIE voluntary liquidation and the potential exit strategies from Joint Ventures, which interest in a closer way each company which operate in China.Speakers:Sara Marchetta: Sara Marchetta graduated in Chinese Language and Culture at the University of Venice – Ca’ Foscari in 1994, and subsequently attended an advanced learning program at the Law Faculty of Peking University (1994-1998). In 2002 Sara Marchetta also graduated in Law at the University of Parma and she is currently a member of the Bar Association of Piacenza (Italy). From 1997 to 2008 she worked with the Italian law firm Birindelli e Associati, as managing partner of the Beijing office. Sara Marchetta is now a senior associate of Chiomenti Studio Legale in Beijing, where her practice area is corporate law. She is fluent in English and Chinese mandarin.Kylie Kwok: Kylie is a senior manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Greater China Business Recovery Services Group and is based in Beijing. Kylie is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”) and CPA Australia. She is also a member of the Insolvency Faculty of HKICPA and had been appointed by the HKICPA as a tutor for the Diploma of Insolvency course. Kylie has practiced full time in the insolvency and corporate reorganisation field since 1996 and has been working on a number of liquidation projects.
