What's the Future of Mobility? CICC EEPWG Tries to Answer

15 Febbraio 2022

The seminar "E-Mobility: Where Are We Heading?", organized on February 15th 2022 by the CICC Energy and Environmental Working Group (EEPWG), gathered about 40 Members and Friends, creating an important opportunity to network with companies in the energy sector.

Since its discovery, electricity has been central to the evolution of human life. Every piece of equipment around us needs energy. Our homes are comfortable places thanks to gas and electricity, while, when we are outside our shelters, the fuel also comes into play for our mobility.

The first panellist, Mr Ciro TroisiGeneral Manager Haveco, Joint Venture of Stellantis in China, addressed the issue of electric energy utilization in the world. China plays a fundamental role as a producer and consumer of energy in the world. If we look at e-Mobility, the country is the largest market and Chinese automakers are dominating it.

Mr Matteo Vittorio BertelèCFA, Head of New Business Development (China), Stellantis presented the current scenario in detail, drawing a picture of electric power prices, costs and the market.

What’s the next step?

Mr Enea Colombo, General Manager of ICONA Design Shanghai and Global CEO of ICONA Design Group, focused on the topic "New Energies - The Future of the Mobility". With technology constantly evolving, we should focus on new energy vehicles, creating new types of transportation and ensuring an efficient connection of all transportation systems.

Our experts provided suggestions on saving and reducing energy while educating the population to preserve the planet.

A Q&A session with the participation online of Mr Lucian Ion, Enel EMobility China General Manager, concluded the seminar.
