Post Event - Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co., Ltd. Factory Tour

Tuesday, May 23th the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce organized the visit to the Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co., Ltd.

About 20 companies joined the tour and were welcomed by Mr. Federico Bullo, the General Manager of  Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co., Ltd that gave a brief introduction of the company dynamics, structure and production.

The Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co. – Chongqing is a joint venture company founded by SAIC-IVECO Commercial Vehicle Investing Co., Ltd. (SI), Fiat Powertrain Technologies Industrial (FPT Industrial), and Chongqing Machinery & Electronics (Group) Holding Co, Ltd. (CQMEG) in June, 2007.

• over 200.000 m² of extension;
• 538 employs;
• annual throughput capacity of 200,000 diesel engine assemblies;
• production of over 150 unit per day;
• 6 models and over 530 variation;

After the welcome speech of the GM Federico Bullo, Mr. Riccardo Pavani R&D Director, toke the visitor to the newly established R&D area.

The plant introduction and plant tour was made by Mr. Marcelo Ferreira Peltzer, the Deputy Director of Manufacturing Dept.

In the end, the participants were given the opportunity to ask tailored questions to the experts.
