On January 27, 2024, the China-Italy Chamber of the Commerce (CCIC) organized the Italian community in Suzhou visited the exhibition “The Romans: an Empire for the Art, Masterpieces from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples” at Museum of Wu."
During the Visit, participants visited 98 pieces/sets of representative objects from ancient Roman civilization, including objects of Farnese Collection and those excavated from Herculaneum and Pompeii. Through the display of statues, silverware, glassware, frescoes, mosaics, etc., the splendor and prosperity of the ancient Roman civilization is restored in terms of art, portraits, colors, and technology.
This year coincides with the " 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death ", and there will be more extensive exchange and cooperation between Italy and China in the cultural & economic field.
CCIC thanks the Museum of Wu, General Consulate of Italy in Shanghai for its support of the Italian Culture Day. Thanks to all participance who attended this event.
