Shanghai CICC Christmas lunch, 10th of December

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) cordially invites you to the 2023 Shanghai Christmas Lunch on the 10th of December, at Eat n Work.

This Sunday, we will have lots of Associations supporting with the promotion of the event, such as the Association of Italian Women in Shanghai, the CBD Officina Teatrale, as well as many Italian regional organizations in China.

This year’s edition will be held in collaboration with the Federation of Italian Chefs in China (FIC), that promotes exchanges between the culinary cultures of Italy and China, which will prepare a special menu made just for the occasion.

Since this event, together with Italian Chef Federation in China, promotes charity as a valuable purpose, part of the ticket, as well as the entire proceeds of the lucky draw will be donated towards a charitable organization in Gansu, “Our Learning House”, especially for what concerns their project A Helping hand GanSu. The campaign’s goal is to provide financial support for extremely poor children in mountainous areas, and helping them improve their living conditions by granting healthcare and a good education.

About the Italian Federation of Chefs in China (FIC)

The Federation of Italian Chefs (known in Italian as the Federazione Italiana Cuochi) China Delegation is the organization’s 11th overseas delegation. The FIC conducts study and research and will promote 

exchanges between the culinary cultures of Italy and China through a series of exhibitions, seminars, conferences, promotions, and other events.

The FIC is the biggest network of Italian chefs in Italy and around the world. Based in Italy, it has 120 provincial associations, more than 20 regional associations, and many foreign delegations. The China delegation is the latest addition to this great chef network, officially founded on October 30, 2023.

About Our Learning House and their A Helping hand GanSu project

Our Learning House started in 2011 as a small community school and rehabilitation center to provide a safe and loving learning environment for orphans with disabilities and children with special needs. Through full-time teaching activities and a variety of community activities, they pay attention to the education, rehabilitation, and psychological counseling of each child, so that they can improve and integrate into society or successfully enter the adoptive family.

In particular, their project named A Helping hand GanSu, poses its focus on providing the financial resources needed to support extremely poor children in mountainous areas, improving their conditions: From taking the children to a haircut to accompanying them home from school to cook a meal, tidying up the room, chatting, heart-to-heart talk.
