THEME OF THE NIGHT

This year's theme took the inspiration from the 700 anniversary of Marco Polo’ passing away, the Venetian explorer and merchant who during the 13th Century embarked on a journey across Asia. This figure is remembered as a symbol of the intermediation between East and West, a staple for cultural exchange and connection. Marco Polo’s character has been a continuous source of inspiration for the diplomatic and cultural relationship between China and Italy and this year the CICC decided to include it in its great Gala evening with an awarding ceremony.

THE GALA NIGHT AND THE AWARDS

The Panda d’Oro Ceremony gives the chance to be awarded, to the companies that have distinguished themselves during the previous year for their investments, growth, innovation (and more) on Chinese territory. The companies will be awarded by an honorary judging panel appointed by the CICC. There will be ten award categories, two of which are dedicated to Chinese companies.
