Overview

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics sparked wider consumer interest in winter sports in China. In the years leading up to the event, sprawling ski resorts were built with world-class equipment; sports that had not yet met a wide popularity in the country, such as ice hockey and ice skating, gained in viewership and course enrollment numbers, and vacationers started considering winter sports destinations.

It is now time to take stock of this high-potential sector in China after the momentum created by the Olympics, also in light of the impact of supporting measures such as the Winter Sports Development Plan (2016-2025) and the 14th Five-year Plan for the Development of Sports.

The webinar aims to help SMEs identify the current market trends, opportunities and challenges of entering and investing in the winter sports market in China.
