Monthly Networking Dinner Special Edition - Shanghai, Nov 18

In the framework of the VII Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) cordially invites you to take part in a very special Monthly Networking Dinner in Shanghai.

The dinner will be held on Friday, November 18th, at La Scala (No.380, Weihai Road Floor 1, Nanjing West Road Subway Station Entrance & Exit 8 Pedestrian 150 Meters, Jing'an, Shanghai) and is open to both CICC Members and Non-Members.

CONVIVIALITY FROM NORTH TO THE SOUTH

As the theme of this year's Week of Italian Cuisine in the World reminds us, conviviality, sustainability and innovation are the special ingredients of Italian good food. And that's what we will do, eat well, in a warm and convivial environment, savouring dishes that the new chef of La Scala Enrico De Martino has created for us. The menu will be a real journey of flavors, from North to South, enriched with DOP and IGP products: from delicacies of the typical Campania appetizer, Burrata Deep fried pasta with mozzarella to an autumn first course such as Pumpkin risotto, flavored with cheese fondue of Italian cheeses like Gorgonzola, Grana Padano, Asiago, Taleggio with Parma ham Crumble.

After a typically winter dish like Stracotto, Braise Beef Brisket and a typical polenta from the mountains of northern Italy with Primitivo wine sauce, we return to savour a fresh sweet from Campania region: Baba'.

ABOUT THE WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD

First begun in 2016, the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is a major initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to internationally promote the best of Italy’s culinary traditions and distinctive agricultural products. Thanks to the number and quality of events proposed all around the world, it has been established over the years as an event of great importance for all Italian communities abroad.

The theme for this year’s edition is “Conviviality, Sustainability and Innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for people's health and the protection of the planet”, three key points particularly close to the Italian culinary lifestyle.

ABOUT OUR MONTHLY NETWORKING DINNER

This event is part of the series of networking dinners we organize every month in Shanghai. As always, we continue to choose a different Italian restaurant as the venue for our informal dinners, as a way to raise awareness of authentic and genuine Italian food and wine.

For this month, we will organize a special edition of our Monthly Networking Dinner, combining it with the “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World”.
