China International Industry Fair - Program of activities

Dear Members and Friends of the CICC,

The China International Industry Fair CIIF will take place from 15 to 19 September in Shanghai, gathering thousands of participants. In the 2019 edition, over 2600 international companies and about 200,000 visitors joined the fair.

At the 2020 edition, Italy will be present with a National Pavilion of 47 companies, highlighting technological excellencies. To support the Italian presence, the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, the Italian Trade Agency and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, organize various activities, please find the program below.

15 September

9.30-10.00 CIIF Opening Ceremony  Please note: the participation is by invitation only.

11.00 Italian National Pavillion Opening Ceremony – Location: Hall 1.1 New Energy Auto Show Please note: open to the public.

15.00 Seminar: Sustainable Technology, Mechanics and Mobility – Location: CIIF

To support the Italian presence at he CIIF, the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, the ICE Agency and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Tongji University, organize the Seminar on Sustainable Technology, Mechanics and Mobility, to provide a better understanding of industrial progress and innovation capacities in the Italian mechanical engineering sector. Authoritative automotive experts will share with the public and representatives of the major automotive and mechanical industries their competences to "rethink mobility". Please note: the participation is by invitation only.

16 September

10:00 Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding CICC-SUMEC. The agreement provides the possibility of offering SUMEC's financial services for the sale of machinery and equipment in China to CICC Members. 

16.00 - 18.00 1st Sino-Italy Forum on Italian Engineering Technology - Location: Parkyard Hotel Bibo Road 699, Pudong
 
Italy is currently carrying out the plan of Industry 4.0 in the current fierce market competition, where innovation is the core driving force for enterprises to survive and develop. The plan aims to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and the whole industrial chain, especially in the three fields of smart manufacturing, new energy vehicles and innovative technology. Representatives from Chinese and Italian government departments, industry associations and enterprises will gather at Sino Italian industry and Innovation Forum ─ one of a series of activities of the 22nd China International Industrial Exposition ─ which will open the door of cooperation by laying foundation for the two countries to expand more in-depth and extensive cooperation in this field, and also by building a new cooperation platform for the upgrading, innovation and strategic layout of mutually beneficial and win-win industrial development of the two countries.
