“How to draft contracts in China and avoid pitfalls in employment relationship”.                       The seminar, jointly hosted by EU SME Centre and China Italy Chamber of Commerce, will be held on October 23rd, 2013, 5.30 – 8:30pm, at Intercontinental Qingdao.   Structured in two parts, the seminar will: describe main Chinese contracts (i.e. purchase, processing, outsourcing, technology transfer etc.) digging into terms of payment, IPR protection and dispute resolution. The aim is to make our guests more familiar with different contracts’ structure and conscious of potential weaknesses in it. focus on most common pitfalls which awaits for employer in employment relationship including usual mistakes in conclusion of labour contract, common causes for labour dispute and how to prevent them. This presentation will also provide to our guests the most updated development in labour legislation in China. Our Experts: Sara Marchetta is resident partner in Chiomenti Studio Legale, Beijing Office. Sara is a member of the Italy Bar of Lawyers and, before the degree in Italian law (2202), graduated also in Chinese language and literature (1994), besides having learned Chinese law at Peking University (1994-1998). She is also the Vice-President of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. Her practice areas include corporate, contract and intellectual property law, with a strong focus on FDI in highly regulated sectors (including infrastructure).   Johnny Choi has experience in all areas of PRC employment law, working for top employment law practices in China since 2005.
