The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to announce that SICAB activities were successfully held in Beijing (October 14th to 18th and October 29th to November 1st) and Shanghai (October 21st to 25th).
SICAB (Sino-Italian Capacity Building for Environmental Protection) is a higher education program organised by the Italian Ministry of Environment within the framework of the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection (SICP) and carried out by Italian as well as Chinese experts. The programme involves significant joint institutions such as European-Mediterranean Climate Change Center, the Italian-Chinese Foundation, the Politecnico di Milano University and University La Sapienza in Rome.
Nuclear Waste Management - Beijing, October 14th-18th
The seminar, co-organised by CICC in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) and the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center (NRSC) in Beijing, dealt with radioactive waste management and featured the contributions of Mr. Francesco Troiani (SOGIN), Mr. Flaviano Bruno (SOGIN), Prof. Luca Codispoti (Politecnico di Milano) and Prof. Eros Mossini (Politecnico di Milano).
Environmental Management and Climate Change - Beijing, October 16th-18th
The seminar, co-organised by CICC in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano, the Science & Technology and International Cooperation Division, Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, dealt with "Environmental Management and Climate Change", adopting a comparative Sino-European perspective. HydroItalia and Giacomini presented their innovative Italian technologies. It featured the contributions of Prof. Marinella Davide and Prof. Giulia Galluccio (Politecnico di Milano), Ms. Silvia Poggi (HydroItalia), Mr. Ji Liyong and Ms. Ilaria Toso (Giacomini).
Smart City and Sustainable Mobility - Shanghai, October 21st-25th
The seminar cycle, co-organised by CICC in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano, the Science & Technology and International Cooperation Division, Shanghai Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, dealt with "Smart City and Sustainable Mobility". On October 21st, the participants visited the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, while in the following days they attended lectures by Prof. Roberto Nocerino and Prof. Chiara Bresciani (Politecnico di Milano). On October 24th, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Shanghai offices of Stefano Boeri Architetti (smart city) and Comau (smart mobility).
Science, technology, innovation and green growth - Beijing, October 29th - November 1st
The seminar cycle, co-organised by CICC in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano, and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), dealt with "Science, technology, innovation and green growth", featuring the lectures of Prof. Andrea Urbinati (Politecnico di Milano) on circular economy.
