Seminar on “Management of Protected Areas and Technology for Biodiversity Protection”

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform you about to the seminar on “Management of Protected Areas and Technology for Biodiversity Protection”, organized by the Embassy of Italy in China, the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic (MAE/DGCS) and the Commission of Italy for Shanghai World Expo 2010, in collaboration with the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China (MOF), to be held on September 13th, 2010 at Shanghai World Expo, Italian Pavilion, from 10am to 5pm.

 

The seminar will be centered on the importance of the maintenance of biodiversity as necessary condition for the attainment of sustainable development. A panel of Italian and Chinese representatives of the political and scientific world will deliver keynote speeches on technology, know-how and management tools to achieve effective and sustainable conservation of protected areas, both at strategic and implementation level. Significant case studies of Sino-Italian projects will be presented.

 

The seminar is open to all interested participants preferably involved in environmental related fields and natural reserves management. You are invited to forward this communication to any potential interested participants.

 

Participation to the seminar is free of charge and all participants will be offered with an entry ticket to the Shanghai World Expo 2010. Please note that seats are limited to 50 persons and pre-registration is mandatory.
