The first Relocation Forum organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce took place on September 26th at Grand Kempinsky Hotel.
The event`s main theme was an extremely hot topic and a very relevant one, which has been analyzed from many different perspectives by the guests speakers, in order to have a complete overview of all the hurdles a company might encounter during a relocation at the current time in China. The guests also shared their experiences and knowledge in the topic, providing valuable suggestions to the audience.
After the welcome greetings by Consul Ludovica Murazzani, the first speech was held by Mr. Giovanni Pisacane, Managing Partner at GWA Greatway Advisory, who inspected the legal implications and consequences of the process and gave examples of practical experiences.
Then, Ms. Vichy Chen, Director at inJob, focused on the HR point of view, which is crucial when dealing with a process that involves not only factories but also talents.
The first panel discussion has been carried out by Mr. Bjarne Bauer, Managing Partner at NAI Sofia Group, Mr. Federico Bonotto, GM at FAiST E.C. China, who had just gone through a relocation process, Ms. Anne Ferri, Consultant at Copers International Search, who gave a further insight into the HR theme, and Mr. Francesco Ye, GM at Top Gear. The guests also replied to the audience`s questions during a Q&A session, giving particular attention to the changes in regulations, which are often quite difficult to deal with.
After a coffee break sponsored by Meseta, Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, Partner at RSA Asia took the floor to provide a financial point of view about tax impact on the relocation process. Following, Mr. Daniel Heusser GM at Virtuarch adopted a logistic and organizational approach in analyzing advantages and disadvantages related to different circumstances in relocation.
Later, the topic has been enriched by new starting points for considerations and further suggestions during the second panel discussion, that involved the participation of Mr. Maurizio Barolo, GM at FLENCO Ningbo, Mr. Nicola Coppi, GM at Food Vending China and Ms. Pan Xiao Hui, Executive Manager at Clariant Group.
At last, a networking cocktail concluded the meeting and permitted to all the participant to further interact with the guests and speakers and to share their observations.
Given the big participation, the interest and the extremely positive feedback shown by the audience, the CICC wishes to thank all those who took part in the initiative, both the guests and speakers who shared their experiences and all those who attended the forum with great interest and involvement. A special mention to the sponsors Haiyan Economic Development Zone, Hai'an Economic & Technological Development Area, Sino-Italy Ningbo Ecological Park, Yangzhou Food Industrial Park, China, Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Developement Zone that supported the event.
