RECAP | Shanghai November Networking Dinner, Nov 20th

On the 20th of November, the China-ltaly Chamber of Commerce (ClCC) organized its Monthly Networking Dinner at Da Marco, in Shanghai. The event was held as part of the lX edition of the “Week of the ltalian Cuisine in the World” and, for this occasion, our guests had the chance to taste an amazing menu, specially prepared by 5 chefs from FIC (Federazione Italiana Cuochi in Cina), “Puglia…Mare e Monti”.

 

 

The theme of the IX edition of this year “Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World”, held from 16 to 22 November 2024, was “Mediterranean Diet and Culinary Roots: Health and Tradition." It aimed to present the Italian cuisine with particular emphasis on its traditional roots and the Mediterranean Diet’s recognized ability to protect health within a wholesome, sustainable, and balanced lifestyle.

After a welcome aperitif with Aperol Spritz and delicious Apulian panzerotti, the chefs took the floor to introduce the menu of the night to the attendees and we also had the pleasure of a brief greeting from Cristina Corsini, Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber.

 

    

 

As the evening unfolded, our guests were treated to an exceptional dining experience, savoring the authentic tastes of Apulia through each carefully crafted dish from the menu: “Puglia…Tra Mare e Monti”.

 

  

  

 

The rich flavors of Apulian cuisine were complemented perfectly by a selection of fine wines from Sinodrink, adding a touch of elegance to this memorable night.

 

  

  

 

A heartfelt thank you goes to the chefs of FIC: Antonino Scordo, Domenico Palmisano, Giuseppe Tino, Marco Barbieri, Armando Galantucci for their expert culinary creations, showcasing the depth and beauty of Italian cuisine, to the restaurant Da Marco for hosting all of us, and to Sinodrink for their generous contribution of wines that elevated the entire dining experience.

We look forward to the next opportunity to connect, share, and celebrate the vibrant cultural exchange between Italy and China.

Founded in 1968 by member Associations (some of which had exceeded 200 years of foundation and were born in the past as brotherhoods, corporations or mutual aid societies of "cookers"), it obtained in 2001 the "Juridical Recognition" as a body to establish the representation, on the national territory, of Chefs and of those who are dedicated to the professional culinary activity, supporting their development, promotion and training. The event is part of a series of networking dinners that we are hosting monthly in Shanghai, to give people a chance to mingle and network in a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is no better setting than good food and good wine to accompany conviviality. We hold these dinners each time at a different venue, generally picking from Italian restaurants, or restaurants with Italian chefs, in Shanghai.

All the networking dinners are open both for CICC Members and Non-Members.
