AZ Investment hosted together with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Beijing a seminar on the “Future of the RMB” last Friday in Beijing. The seminar covered the following topics: RMB convertibility, RMB valuation and internationalization, RMB as an asset class and hedging solutions. The seminar in Beijing followed similar AZ Investment seminars in Shanghai and Suzhou (also hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce) where over 300 corporate and individual participants attended.
The presentation touched upon extremely relevant topics, providing useful and practical information for any foreign firm operating with or in China, including: how to use RMB for trade settlement, how to hedge RMB exposure in trade and investment, and new RMB investment opportunities. Additionally, AZ Investment provided participants an overview of new regulations and market trends on the evolution of the RMB’s internationalization – a potentially significant new trend that has repercussions for global trade and investment flows.
