RECAP | Seminar on Artificial Intelligence, 12 March, Shanghai

On March 12, 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with its Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG), successfully hosted the seminar "Artificial Intelligence: Between Law and Intellectual Property" at Intesa Sanpaolo Office, in Shanghai. The event provided valuable insights into the evolving intersection of AI, law, and intellectual property, fostering an engaging discussion among industry experts and professionals.

 

 

  • Over 25 professionals attended the seminar, engaging in insightful discussions on the intersection of AI, law, and intellectual property. The event emphasized the need for legal clarity in AI development and highlighted the role of intellectual property in driving technological innovation.
  • Intesa Sanpaolo opened the event with a brief introduction of the company.
  • Fabio Giacopello – Lawyer, intellectual property practitioner, Allasya Law & IP, CICC IPWG Coordinator – introduced the Intellectual Property Working Group and moderated the entire seminar.
  • Li Yang – Patent Attorney, Patent Litigator, Attorney-at-Law, Shanghai Patent & Trademark Law Office – provided an in-depth analysis of China’s Regulations on Generative AI Services, and their implications for businesses.
  • Filippo Sticconi – Partner-Lawyer at GWA – addressed key IP infringement risks associated with AI development and use.
  • Giulia Romanelli – Lawyer, Head of the China Desk at Morri Rossetti & Franzosi – explored the patentability of AI Innovations in China, offering valuable insights for innovators and legal practitioners.
