On April 23rd, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Innovation & Technology Working Group (CICC ITWG), in collaboration with the CICC Aviation and Aerospace Working Group (AAWG) and Low Altitude Systems and Economy Research Institute (LASERi), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST (GZ)), successfully hosted the Low-Altitude Economy Seminar themed “Sino-Italian Vision on the New Era of Flight: Aerospace Innovation and the Low-Altitude Economy.”
Following a brief welcome from Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of CICC, the seminar commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Shyy Wei, Chair of the Advisory Board of LASERi, and Prof. Denis Bastieri, Coordinator of the CICC ITWG.

Led by Prof. Yu Huan and Dr. Marco Martini, a series of distinguished speakers, including Prof. Aldo Fredinai, Prof. Emanuele Rizzo, Prof. Shuncheng Lee, Prof. Karim Abu Salem, Prof. Qiu Huihe, Prof. Giuseppe Palaia, Prof. Haoang Li, Prof. Massimiliano Pinucci, and Prof. Bingzhuo Zhong, delivered in-depth presentations on key topics such as eVTOLs, environmental monitoring systems, UAV safety, and urban air mobility technologies. Their insights highlighted the strong potential for Sino-Italian collaboration in advancing the low-altitude economy.

The event saw active participation from both in-person and online attendees. The lively discussions demonstrated the growing interest and commitment to fostering innovation and cooperation in the aerospace sector. During the seminar, there was also an engaging Q&A session where participants actively posed questions and exchanged ideas with the speakers, further enriching the event's interactive experience and depth of discussion.
In the closing remarks, Prof. Yang Liuqing, Acting Director of LASERi, summarized the key points of the seminar, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between China and Italy in the field of aerospace innovation.
